What We Do

ABOUT US

The Esther Amos Foundation for Climate Change & Health Equity (TEAF-CHE) is a youth-led, women-focused organization dedicated to promoting climate justice and improving public health in underserved communities.

Founded on the belief that health is the human face of climate change, TEAF-CHE was created to address the growing health impact caused by climate change especially among women, children, and marginalized groups. We work at strengthening climate-resilient health system by improving climate and health awareness amongst community health workers and vulnerable groups, providing early warnings and carrying out research to better understand the intersection between climate and health to support climate-informed decision making.

 

Who We Are

TEAF-CHE consists of passionate young climate change advocates, health professionals, climate educators, and community organizers committed to creating an inclusive, climate-resilient health system and communities.

Research & Evidence Generation

We conduct community-centered climate–health research that informs policies, guides financing decisions, and shapes practical solutions tailored to local needs.

Early Warning & Climate-Health Information Systems

We develop early warning tools powered by AI and low-cost technologies to provide timely alerts on heatwaves, flooding, water contamination, and disease outbreaks, helping communities act before crises escalate.

Capacity Building & Community Empowerment

We train health workers, women, youth, and caregivers on the intersection of climate change and public health, equipping them with skills to prevent, manage, and respond to climate-related health risks.

Climate Relief & Emergency Support

We provide rapid assistance to women and girls affected by climate crises, such as floods, heat waves, and extreme weather, ensuring their safety, health, and dignity during emergencies.

OUR MISSION

To empower health workers, policymakers and vulnerable groups especially women and children with evidence-based climate and health information, deliver training programs, and develop digital solutions to strengthen health systems against the health impact of climate change.
